Wizarding World Holiday Trunk
WIZARDING WORLD HOLIDAY TRUNK
Last year, in a conference room in Los Angeles, two Muggles had the idea to bring the magic of Hogwarts to doorsteps across America. We pitched a never-before-done collaboration with the Wizarding World, and Uber Eats said “when do we start?”

Modeled after the trunk Harry brings to Hogwarts his first year, the Wizarding World Holiday Trunk started mysteriously appearing online a week before release. We teased the trunk with a riddle dropped onto the r/HarryPotter Reddit thread, and I got to combine two passions of mine: writing perplexing puzzles and niche Harry Potter references.
Inside the trunk, fans found everything they needed to bring Hogwarts to their living room - including a Gingerbread Hogwarts, treats straight from the trolley, and their own acceptance letter. Once it was released, the trunk sold out in markets within minutes (magical) and caused the Uber Eats app to crash (not magical).
After they scanned a QR code at the bottom of their acceptance letter, fans unlocked a one-of-a-kind AR experience - built specifically for their castle. They could fly Ron’s car around the Whomping Willow, test their Quidditch skills, and practice casting spells. All of the games were much harder than they looked. Harry himself wouldn’t have been able to pass them.
